Ohio Valley foie gras terrine with pumpkin bread, cranberry and walnuts -- really? Tasty or pretentious, local or exotic, Columbus' restaurant scene runs the gamut. Columbus has become a great restaurant town thanks to many dedicated chefs and entrepreneurs who have treated us to fabulous meals. With so many choices, what are the best options for a night on the town? Of course, it depends on what you want to eat, and perhaps, how much you want to spend. Our panelists will give their opinions on the best of the best of what the Columbus restaurant scene has to offer. It may be fair to say that two of the panelist, Rich Terapak and Steve Stover are as well known for their talents in the kitchen as they are for their legal expertise. They have both written for Zagat guides and have taught cooking classes in the area. The other panelists practically eat for a living. Probably less glamorous than it sounds, these food experts will also provide top picks for top dishes. Jon Christensen is the food and wine critic at the Columbus Dispatch. Brian Lindamood, self-proclaimed as one of the top food lovers in Columbus, has been eating his way across the city for many years. He is director of niche publications for the Dispatch Printing Company. He recently launched a new website, ColumbusDiningGuide.com, to cover all the great cuisines being created in Columbus kitchens.
