CNCDudez Coil Winder. This video is filmed in Realtime and not speeded up. New Bobbin DC motor +Encoder code now sorted and programmed ! Using AWG44 wire, which is 0.002 inch = 0.0508 millimetres of guitar wire. Like I have said before, this wire is so thin and so delicate and I can see why the guys have to wind at a slow speed. But if you align the wire feed correctly and get the tension right, you can go alot faster. Here is 5010 turns of 0.050 wire taking 2 minutes and 34 seconds. Excuse the scuffy encoder holder attached to the motor. I printed this out quickly on the 3D printer as a test holder, which worked well. But the finished encoder holder will be more pretty ! Please check out http://www.cncdudez.co.uk for more information.
